Cinemagraphs

Adobe Photoshop

The basis of this project was to make three cinemagraphs all from my own original content. To put a twist on what the cinemagraphs would be of, I wanted to use footage from past projects I had made early in my college film career and re-purpose it. The woman flipping through her book was from a group project where we had to make a montage of random, well lit shots. The woman clicking her pen is from a sound effect scavenger hunt project. The man doing the cartwheel was from a short documentary piece I created about one of my best friends from high school. Once I had chosen the three shots, I went into Photoshop and carved out exactly what I wanted to make move within the “timeline” feature. I went through various other projects, testing if they would work in the cinemagraph style, but these three had the most potential. After cleaning up the loop, I exported them as gifs.
