“Loving Lauren” - QU 24 Hour Film Challenge 2019

This is a short film I directed with the help of my team, Stephen Bisaccia, Gregory Hardman, and Bret Schneider, within a span of 24 hours. We won the 2nd place prize for this film. Along with the time constraint, we had to work under these rules:

- Use a character named Lance or Lauren.

- Must have a character that grew up poor and is now extremely rich.

- Use the line "what if telling the truth doesn't work?"

- A character must use a flashlight.

- A character must break the 4th wall at least once.

- No camera movements.

- The word "and" cannot be spoken by any character.

- Must be created within a randomly assigned genre (we were given Science Fiction).

While trying to work within the time constraint, I also did all of the makeup on the deformed brother using items from Party City and created the jingle in the very beginning using Garage Band. For this challenge, we definitely wanted to push the limits of what we could make after “Spider Hit” and wanted to not shy away from getting odd with our genre.
